Reliable Manufacturing has teamed up with Cogent Skills, the UK strategic body for skills in the science industry.  The new partnership enables employers in the industrial and life science sectors in England to access up to 50% Government co-investment in particular training courses delivered by Reliable Manufacturing through the Science Industry Partnership scheme (SIP). 

Two of Reliable Manufacturing’s popular flagship training programmes, the ‘Reliability and Operations Excellence Master Class’ and ‘The Manufacturing Game®’, have been assured under the SIP scheme, embracing sectors including pharmaceutical, chemical, oil refining and steel making. The training programmes have also been given the Cogent Gold Standard, a kite mark that provides recognition for excellence in skills in the science industries.

Through SIP, employees can develop their skills by applying for one of the workshops, either through Cogent Skills or direct with Reliable Manufacturing.  The application is simple. Following submission with Cogent Skills the applicant will be provided with an account manager who will work with them to manage their training needs and to inform them whether they have qualified for the funding.  Criteria is based on whether they are registered in England, economically active in England and they are in a science based industry.  If booking through Reliable Manufacturing, employers just need to keep the invoice and send to Cogent Skills to claim the 50%.
